experiencing an easy way into hypnosis
Here's a brief experience of using "likes" as a respectful invitation in to hypnosis.
I invite you to let yourself experience this, as there may be something useful for you, your learning and your practice.
Please leave a comment about what you experienced and how this may be useful.
Here's the audio ...

Thanks Rob
This is great. Thanks!
How many years have I been doing this and yet something else clicked and I felt something familiar yet new... Thanks Rob
Wondeful exercise, very useful in paliative care
thanks Rob
Resources that are already there but not used. I find it useful to ask clients about their likes. Clients comment it afterwards "I didnt know this was so important to me doing what I like". Noticing all the details and the value of their likes. And I notice the physical changes but I havent commended these changes to clients. That will be the next step courage to trust the process eventually.
It can be such a delight, Asta, for the client as well, when we find a way of helping them to connect with their resources, and it's so respectful because this comes from them, not imposed by us. And commenting? It's an easy step, and so helpful. I invite you to make a beginning, perhaps just mentioning their breathing, or stillness ... and see what results.
I have been a practising hypnotherapist for many years and really enjoyed this audio session... your voice and pitch is very relaxing... and the choice of words creates an interesting inner dialogue... Thank you Rob... still so much to learn ...
Thank you Catherine. There's always more to learn, so we might as well enjoy the journey.
Indeed Rob, every new experiences are opening doors to new opportunities... as therapists we just need to be receptive ;-)
Hi Rob..Sat listening to you ... imagined one of my favourite pleasures.. being swept along by a foaming, breaking wave... left me feeling calmer...grabbing my towel..and driving to the nearest surf beach... thank you for yet another ‘reminder ‘ and invaluable learning lesson Rob.
Thanks Will. Isn't it wonderful to be reminded, and humbly recognise how skilled we are at forgetting? An invluable lesson indeed.
