Ericksonian Learning Community with Dr. Rubin Battino in about 5 hours.

You’re Invited: An Evening with Dr. Rubin Battino

Ericksonian Learning Community

Tonight — Wednesday, September 30
7:00 PM Eastern Time (USA)
Thursday, October 1 — 9:00 AM Hobart, Australia

We have a very special opportunity tonight to gather, learn, and explore with Dr. Rubin Battino, someone whose work spans decades of teaching, counseling, hypnosis, brief therapy, and the Ericksonian tradition.

Rubin is Professor Emeritus at Wright State University, where his remarkable career has crossed two worlds: science and psychotherapy. He earned his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Duke University and later an M.S. in Mental Health Counseling from Wright State University.

He went on to become a licensed professional clinical counselor and National Certified Counselor, specializing in very brief therapy, hypnotherapy, and guided imagery.

At Wright State, Rubin taught courses including Ericksonian hypnosis and psychotherapy, solution-oriented therapies, guided imagery, and NLP. He has served as an officer and president of the Milton H. Erickson Society of Dayton, presented internationally on Ericksonian approaches, and written extensively about hypnosis, psychotherapy, healing language, guided imagery, and brief therapy.

He is also coauthor of Ericksonian Approaches: A Comprehensive Manual.

And there is a particularly meaningful connection for our community: Rubin knew and worked within the same Ericksonian learning tradition as our dear friend and teacher, Dr. Rob McNeilly. Rubin contributed to Rob's Creating Solutions Together, including his writing on the importance of expectancy in hypnosis and psychotherapy.

Tonight is therefore more than a presentation.

It is an opportunity to gather as a learning community in the spirit Rob encouraged: curious, conversational, experiential, and open to possibility.

Rather than simply learning about Ericksonian hypnosis, we have the opportunity to spend time with someone who has practiced, taught, written about, and lived with these ideas for many decades.

Bring your curiosity.

Bring your questions.

And perhaps most importantly, come prepared simply to notice what happens when experienced practitioners and learners gather together to explore how we can continue learning to do good work.

I would love the replay also.  We had our mentor learning therapy group and Dr. Lentz just spoke about Rubin Battino and just talked about his book Ericksonian Approaches.

Consider all the interest in the recording…and how many would also like another opportunity to meet with Dr. Rubin Battino…and just what would make that happen?
